Sungale Releases Patented 7" and 3.5" Digital Photo Albums

Along with Sungale's new line of digital photo frames, Sungale is releasing its "digital photo album", a product which earned them a U.S. patent in 2007.  Just as the digital photo frame category was a digital remake of a traditional picture frame, the digital photo album updates another time-honored picture viewing platform: the photo album.  Unlike the Digital Photo Frame, which houses LCD screens in wood frames, these units will be housed in a leather case, which opens up like book.

Sungale's first digital photo album, the ID700A, uses Sungale's digital 7" screen for a bright 800x480 pixel, 200:1 contrast display.  The unit displays a wide variety of picture files, JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and is compatible with SD, MMC and MS cards.  Inlaid keys perform the unit's full range of options including music, movie and slideshow playback.  Thanks to Sungale's ASSP (Auto Screen Suiting Protocol) software, the ID700A will automatically resize pictures to suit the screen, and optimize the memory.  With 512 MB of internal memory, the ID700A holds 3,400 pictures.

The ID700A has arrived at Sungale's Chino warehouse and is ready for shipment.  It is set to retail for $169.

Sungale is also shipping a 3.5" album, the TD350A, with the same playback capabilities as the ID700A.  The TD350A also accepts SD, MMC, and MS cards with no external adaptor required.  The TD350A gives a 320x240 pixel display with a 300:1 contrast.  With 512 built in flash memory, the frame holds 16,000 imported JPGs, through implementation of ASSP software.  The TD350A will retail for $79.
