Sungale has implemented their recently developed "Auto Screen-Suiting Photo Storage Technology" (ASSP) in their new line of Digital Photo Frames. This software automatically adjusts and downsizes JPEG files as they are saved to a frame’s internal memory. First, the file is adjusted to fit the frame’s aspect ratio, auto-cropping images so that there is no unused space (seen as black bars) on the screen. Secondly, the JPEG files are downsized to avoid storing unused information and optimize the frame’s memory capacity. Although the files will require less memory, use of ASSP will not compromise image quality, as they will be downsized to the maximum display quality for the given frame.
